Lindow Master Classes

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding two Master Classes during the autumn term. These evenings are open to everybody and are free of charge. They will be held at St Bartholomew’s Church, Wilmslow.

The Master Class evening will start at 6:30pm with our musical director, Russell Medley, who will be coaching four students from the Royal Northern School of Music. This will give attendees the chance to learn from observing highly professional coaching techniques. In the second part of the evening the students will join the choir and the whole choir will be coached by Russell. There will be a break for refreshments during this part of the evening.

Each evening will concentrate on the musical works being performed at the Lindow Singers’ next concert. If, after the class, you would like to continue with the rest of the rehearsals and sing in the concert you may do so for a modest fee of ¬£30. You would be most welcome.

The first Master Class is being held on Monday 24th September 2018 and will focus on The Armed Man
by Karl Jenkins and the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. These will be performed at our concert on
Saturday 10th November 2018 at St Bartholomew’s Church in Wilmslow.

The second Master Class will be held on Monday 19th November 2018 and will focus on The Messiah by Handel which we are performing on Saturday 16th December, again at St Bartholomews’ Church in Wilmslow.
