Lindow Master Classes

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a further Master Class during the autumn term. The evening is open to everybody and is free of charge. It will be held at St Bartholomew’s Church, Wilmslow.

The Master Class evening will start at 6:30pm with Juliet Montgomery of the RNCM, who will be coaching four RNCM students. This will give attendees the chance to learn from observing highly professional coaching techniques. In the second part of the evening the students will join the choir and the whole choir will be coached by our musical director Russell Medley. There will be a break for refreshments during this part of the evening..

Each master class concentrates on the musical works being performed at the Lindow Singers’ next concert. If, after the class, you would like to continue with the rest of the rehearsals and sing in the concert you may do so for a modest fee of ¬£30. You would be most welcome.

The first Master Class was held on Monday 24th September 2018 and focussed on The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins and the Requiem by Gabriel Faur√©. These works will be performed at our concert on Saturday 10th November 2018 at St Bartholomew’s Church in Wilmslow.

This second Master Class on Monday 19th November will focus on The Messiah by Handel which we are performing on Saturday 8th December in Sale and again on Sunday 16th December at St Bartholomews’ Church in Wilmslow.
